Can gravel powder be used as sand?

At present, there is still a relatively large demand for sand in various industrial fields. In the past, river sand was mainly used, but now environmental protection is advocated and reuse is strictly prohibited. Therefore, many companies are looking for other raw materials. In recent years, it has been heard that gravel can be powdered into sand, but can it be used?

It can be used as sand. In fact, the sand made of crushed stone is machine-made sand. It mainly uses machines to crush various crushed stones (limestone, river pebbles, granite, etc.) into standard construction sand. It only needs a few pieces of equipment to complete the process. The acquisition cost is low and it is supported by national policies.

The particle size of the finished product is about 0.25-0.5mm, the particle shape is mostly polygonal, no fine lines, low needle-like flake content, no segregation of coarse and fine particles, and the fineness modulus can be adjusted, which can meet the requirements of Class I construction sand. It is used in bridges, highways, high-speed rail, housing construction and other engineering fields.
