Dry Sand Production Line Process

Mechanized sand is primarily used in construction, municipal, transportation, and other engineering projects. It consists of particles with a diameter not exceeding 4.75mm and is made from various ores (such as limestone, river pebble, granite, etc.) through professional mechanical crushing, sand making, and screening. Currently, there are two main processes for mechanized sand production: dry process and wet process. Today, we will introduce the process flow and analysis of the dry sand production line.
The difference between the dry process and wet process for mechanized sand production is not significant. It mainly lies in the post-sand production process and dust treatment. The wet process involves the use of a sand washing machine for cleaning, while the dry process generally utilizes a powder separator to control the content of stone powder in the finished product. The main process includes stages of coarse crushing, medium crushing, sand making, and screening. The specific equipment configuration should consider factors such as production capacity, types and hardness of the raw materials, particle sizes, and site conditions to design a dry sand production line for reference.
After coarse crushing, the material is conveyed to an impact crusher (for soft materials such as limestone, dolomite) or a cone crusher (for hard materials such as granite, quartz) for secondary processing, resulting in crushed stones ranging from 5-60mm. The crushed stones are then properly screened using a vibrating screen. Any unqualified materials that do not meet the requirements for sand making are sent back for re-crushing.
After the crushing process, the material is evenly fed into the sand making machine. The sand making machine employs a stone-on-stone or stone-on-iron working principle and incorporates a deep-cavity impeller design, enabling increased throughput. The output is 0.25-0.5mm mechanized sand.
The material is then conveyed by a conveyor into a vibrating screen with 4 layers of screens, allowing for the simultaneous screening of three different sizes of sand. It then enters a powder separator for dust removal treatment, resulting in the production of finished mechanized sand.
